"Recovering Alcoholic And Interventionist Offers Help For 'WHEN
THEY WON'T QUIT"
Cotter is not a psychiatrist or a social worker...He was
working in radio broadcast management when he went into treatment
for alcoholism. "When I got out of the treatment facility. I
wanted to go back into broadcasting," he said.
CBS had agreed to re-hire Cotter when a high-ranking company
official called and asked him to come to New York City to speak
with another CBS employee with an addiction. After speaking with
Cotter, the person chose to go into treatment.
"About two weeks later I got another phone call, and I never
went back into
broadcasting. I started doing interventions..."
